Beetle

Dashing from my art in education lecture to my car in the rain while balancing my books and coffee seemed a difficult task, and i focussed strongly on nothing but getting there without dropping everything or slipping over. I got to my car, jumped in and shut the door behing me in a very quick smooth motion. Agghh. Relief. Just before i was about to leave i turned looking at the car besides me, it was beautiful. It was a beetle.

Duck, Duck Goose!!

A beautiful and sunny day found me down at the lake feeding the ducks, soaking up the rays of sunshine and sinking my teeth into Charlaine Harris's Club Dead- the fourth installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series (Trueblood novels). It was my first saturday free from work in a LONG time- I was using it wisely. The ducks swam towards me through the luminous lake and ate well as I threw some old broken up bread out. As the sun retrieved higher into the sky, I decided to take advantage of the little shade that was left. I sat on the park bench to read my book, and take in the serenity of the moment. I lost myself in the book for a good couple of hours while families made their way to the lake feeding the ducks, and walking their dogs. With half a loaf of bread left and strong urge for a coffee, I decided to wander around to the otherside of the lake and feed the ducks the remainder of my bread before setting off to the cafe near home. I feed the ducks as some of the fuller ones bathed in the sun. I was suprised to come across a couple of geese, and stranger looking ducks and that I had never noticed before. As the bread came to an end, and they all realised there was nothing left to share, they all parted their way and continued along with their daily duck business.
As I was leaving, and looking over my photos of the day I realised I was missing something. And then there it was, right in front of me. The giagantic tap that has always facinated me. As I had a quick look around to see if anyone was about, I went over and gave it a turn to see if water would flow from it. Unfortunately nothing did. But none the less, a happy snap will do.

Hipstamatic blogger

I've decided to create a new blog dedicated to my hipstamatic images and stories. Each image is a snap shot of a special moment, carrying fond memories and style.

These were my first two shots with my exciting new hipstamatic. We have since been on many exciting adventures together.
